Our history: organic oil between Assisi and Spello, since 1989
The taste of simplicity, from the hills of Assisi to the oil mill in Spello.
A family-run organic farm
Since 1989, our family has cultivated olive groves in the Umbrian countryside, among the hills of Assisi, in Costa di Trex. Today we are Agricola Nizzi: an organic farm with its own mill, which follows extra virgin olive oil through every stage, from the field to the bottle.
The family olive mill: cold-pressed, within 24 hours
We harvest the olives at the right stage of ripeness and bring them to our oil mill in Spello, where they are processed within 24 hours. Cold extraction preserves the organoleptic and nutritional properties of the oil: family tradition and modern technology, with the same respect for the land.

Six cultivars, one single landscape

Each bottle unites Assisi, where the olives grow, and Spello, where the oil is born.
The Nizzi family, beyond olive oil
The Frantoio di Assisi is one of the businesses of Agricola Nizzi, in Costa di Trex. Three generations, one single countryside.

With the support of the European Union
Our oil mill and our short oil supply chain were supported by the Rural Development Program for Umbria 2014–2020: intervention 4.2.1 (investments in the processing and marketing of agricultural products) and measure 16.4.1, action b2 (cooperation for the short supply chain in the olive sector). The modernization of the oil mill is funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU (PNRR, Mission 2, Component 1, Investment 2.3).
